Pack of six supersoft sensory muslin bonding squares in our high contrast black and white Love Heart pattern. Designed to the millimetre using the latest research on preemie baby vision and scaled alongside our consultant orthoptist (expert in infant vision) to support vision from prematurity to around two months old.

The bonding squares support connection by having one kept against a parent’s skin, and the other in the baby’s incubator, and then they are swapped regularly. The scent transference between the parent and child has been proven to be beneficial for developing a bond even when separated, enabling extremely poorly babies to connect with the smell of their parents and be comforted by it.

These were a gift to my teeny tiny niece in NICU and my sister. Its been lovely to hear how much these have been used and how they are helping both my sister and her husband to keep the bond with their baby when they have to go home. They’ve said how much my niece looks at them and even the nurses have been admiring how great they’ve been. Worth it for someone you love struggling with separation from their baby.

Disappointing packaging

Although the squares are lovely and soft and the purpose of them is beautiful, this is nowhere to be seen (read) on the package which is just a bit of a ribbon and a generic label. I purchased these as a gift but will have to print out the description on the item page so the recipient understands what they are and the intended use. A bit disappointed given the price.

Beautiful

Beautiful pattern though actually at the early stage where we are then our little one has been lying in one of the three pack muslin squares more. These may be useful later on though and really look beautiful. I am not sure whether any of the money from these is donated - is says clearly that some from the muslin in the same pattern is - which would be a shame if it wasn't.
